Chill Gamer Simulator
Chill Gamer Simulator is a first-person aim trainer game made with fellow game designer Eva Clement for Brackey’s Game Jam 2024.2, the theme for the competition was ‘Calm Before the Storm’.
In this short game, players have to reach 2000 points in their aim training level before their mother comes up the stairs, all the while maintaining their composure amongst a wide array of distractions, like their pesky cat, messages from their friends, and computer issues!
Outside of adding the screen functionality and basic level layout, my contributions centered around the “Tilted?” meter itself, making sure it struck the right balance with given distractions for the players to be able to complete while also enabling that layered anxiety a young gamer would feel being pulled away from their favorite pastime.
